MTX proudly sponsors Tony and Cruz Pedregon, two brothers that make up Pedregon Racing, an NHRA Top Fuel Funny Car team. Both Tony and Cruz are considered to be two of the top drivers in the category and they both have the stats to prove it. Cruz burst in to the scene winning the Nextel Cup championship in 1992, which was an even sweeter accomplishment since Cruz was the only driver to win a championship in the 90's, as John Force had dominated the category for the past 17 years. Tony Pedregon was lucky enough to get a big break driving for Force starting in 1996. After winning the Nextel championship in 2003, which ended another streak of John Force championships, Tony then decided it was time to start his own team with his brother Cruz. Since then, the Pedregon brothers have been a force to be reckoned within the Funny Car class, including Tony taking place in the inaugural Countdown to the Championship, which is NHRA's version of NASCAR's Chase for the Cup, still leading right down to the final two races of the season.
