IED’s Carolyn Hopkins profiled in the Chicago Tribune
Chicago, IL – In a March 2009 issue of the Chicago Tribune, Carolyn Hopkins' famous voice received a little recognition. Hopkins is one of the voices of Innovative Electronic Designs, or IED, the industry leader in communication and announcement systems.
As reported by the Tribune, Hopkins recognizable voice can be heard in IED installations including "80 of the top 100 U.S. airports" and 58 of Chicago's own 144 rail stations. IED customizes and records messages for its public address systems for informational, regulatory, and safety announcements worldwide, and, as part of the Mitek Communications Group, has been the best in commercial audio systems for over 40 years.
Just like Hopkins, IED is probably not a familiar name to the general public despite having systems in use around the world. Airports, convention centers, offices, and health care facilities are just some of the large scale projects IED specializes in.
And with over 25 years of personal experience, she is a great example of the passion and expertise on which IED and Mitek stand. "I really consider it an honor to try to help," quotes Hopkins in the Tribune. For more information on IED, visit iedaudio.com.
