The 1000vACS Virtual Announcement Control System software is the latest evolution in IED’s long line of announcement control systems. It represents a migration from a dedicated hardware control processor to a software-based virtual announcement controller. The software contains all the intelligence to manage an entire system of digital microphone stations, digital power amplifiers, digital message servers, and other network peripherals. The GLOBALCOM series of products creates a system that is network-centric and utilizes the network as the dynamic audio routing mechanism instead of relying on dedicated channel paths.
